Merlin Models Hawker Osprey Frog Penguin Replica, 1/72

In the late 1930s, before WWII, Frog created the world's first line of injection molded plastic model kits. Since Frog stood for 'Flies Right Off the Ground' and Frog had a famous line of flying models, the world's first all injection molded kits were called Frog Penguin for the bird that does not fly. The Penguin Osprey was among the early pre-war releases by Frog. The kit is reproduced from actual Frog Penguin kits belonging to the extensive collection of the owner of Merlin Models. Only 2000 copies were made and each is serial numbered.
