Pyro 1915 Model T Ford Coupelet Vintage Brass Car, 1/32, C451-125

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

Sold

1967 Pyro issue from original molds. In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many of it's kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. In some cases, the specific car and owner is on the box. The model includes rubber tires, brass plated parts, colored injection molded parts and clear parts. Features detailed chassis, complete motor and interior and a removable hood or 'bonnet'. NOTE: this kit has very neat and minor assembly. The chassis, body and rear deck are assembled to 'professional' quality. There is no other assembly and zero painting. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions.

Revell USS Yorktown CV-5 Aircraft Carrier, 1/490, 5224

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

Sold

1987 reissue of the original 1967 kit. Features 20 SBDs, fore and aft hanger decks, 20" long full hull, movable cranes, optional position elevators and more. The box art shows the wartime finish, but the kit contains decals for this or the prewar high-vis finish. The kit has never been started. Inside it is still factory bag sealed and includes decals and instructions. The Yorktown was one of three prewar sister carriers along with Enterprise (CV-6) and Hornet (CV-8). The Yorktown saw extensive action in the Coral Sea and underwent temporary repairs in record time so she could take part in the Battle of Midway. Damaged by bombs and eventually a spread of submarine-fired 'Long Lance' torpedoes, she was lost after an epic struggle to save the ship. Revell did a nice job in these models of capturing the unique differences between all three Yorktown-class carriers.
