Revell USS Missouri BB63 - 'Mighty Mo' Battleship, 1/534, H301

1977 release of one of Revell's best selling kits of all time. This issue includes a reproduction of the deck plaque where the surrender documents were signed that ended WWII. Measures 20 inches long when built and features a one piece hull, two Navy seaplanes on movable catapults, movable aircraft crane, rotating main turrets and elevating 16 inch guns, full secondary 5 inch guns and turrets, 40mm AA guns and more. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Air Lines Westland Wessex I - S-56 - (ex Frog), 1/72, 7905

1960s issue from the high-quality, original Frog molds. Features basic cockpit, pilot figures, detailed rotor head, working main and tail rotors, wheeled landing gear & tail wheel and more. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Box art is by the famous Jo Kotula who did 1930s covers for the magazine 'Model Airplane News' and later the Aurora box art of the late 1950s and early 1960s. Air Lines kits all utilized Frog molds that the Lines Brothers exported these models to the USA between 1964-1966. The kits, decals and instructions were made in England, then imported to the USA where Testors created the boxes with the colorful trading cards on the back. The trading cards show the boxart without the Air Lines logo. Some kits contain a Testors color painting guide also, but it is not specific to any model.

Includes numerous cast metal details: HR Products 1/72 #S72-8 3"-50 Mark 22 Mount Gun, searchlights, ladders, vents, ammo boxes, bitts, machine gun and mount, bridge instruments and more. The actual model is Ex-ITC Ideal Molds from the late 1950s or very early 1960s. Large with good detail for the time. Features full hull with complete deck fittings and display stand. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The striking Jack Leynnwood box art shows SCs attacking enemy subs in defense of a convoy. SC96 served in the Med during WW I. US subchasers were considered an important deterrent to Central Powers submarine activity in the theater.

From the late 1960s or early 1970s. Features traditional wood/tissue construction, quality die-cut print wood, factory-cut stringers & spars, fully formed wheels, plastic propeller & thrust button, rubber motor tissue and detailed full size plans with building instructions. The kit has not been started and has been inventoried complete with all parts and plans. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Veron models were made by Model Aircraft (Bournemouth) Ltd. In Bournemouth, Great Britain. Three of the product lines were 'Kwik-Fix' gliders, 'Super Truscale' (solid kits) and 'Tru-Flite' stick and tissue flying models. This Tru-Flite kit contains high quality printwood and strip wood, hardware, rubber, beautifully drawn full size plans, detailed instructions and plastic wheels, prop and thrust bearing. The model has not been started. The small parts are still in factory sealed bag; all other parts were never sealed and have been inventoried complete with all paperwork present.

There are two versions of the Robin from Comet from this time period (1960s/70s) - this is the one with the larger 22 inch wingspan. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction, detailed full size plans, building instructions, hardware, wheels and canopy material (if required), tissue, rubber and propeller. Excellent model from the legendary Cleveland Model & Supply Company in Ohio. This is a traditional stick-and-tissue flying model in the Cleveland 'Rep' line; the "R" series part numbers are essentially scaled down SF kits. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes plans. Please note that this series of "R" kits shared a common box; the only way you could tell what was inside was to read the stamped part number and name on the end flap.
