NOTE: builder kit only, please read carefully. Includes decals for all three versions and is molded in clear so you can build the kit with realistic windows. From ex-Lindberg/Olin molds. Those original issues did not have clear windows as they were molded in one solid plastic color (like silver). This kit has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts and includes 'mint' condition decals and instructions. NOTE: this kit had two pieces assembled once, although nothing is assembled at this time. The fuselage halves were glued once, but so little glue was used that they fell apart. Even the assembly guide pins are intact! There was no other assembly. The following parts are painted black - lower part of the hull and one float (just like the box top) and two wheels. There is no other painting. Paint quality is only 'good.'

Classic 1956 'S' release with dramatic box art and famous 'Revelving' globe stand. This is the first issue of this kit. The box has factory-new color and gloss, four solid corners, no creases, stains or tears, no missing litho, and no price tags or tape (other than the factory sealing tape, of course). The only flaws are very light wear as shown. Molded in correct high-gloss black and clear. The kit has never been started. The small parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The larger parts that were never factory sealed have been inventoried complete including excellent decals and instructions.

Loening amphibians were the first in the world with tractor engines. The US Navy knew a good thing and bough several with Packard and Liberty engines. With the Pratt and Whitney radial, this was the ultimate development of the 1920s amphibs. 46 OL-8 and OL-9s saw successful service with the US Navy.
