Still factory sealed. Older but quality kit that builds to a beautiful model. This is the 1983 issue with the wonderful 'The Turtle' nose art. Monogram F-51D Mustang Action Model - White Box Issue (P-51), 1/32, 6847

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

Sold

1973 issue of this classic, large-scale 'Action Model' from the original Four Star Monogram line. It has excellent detail for that time and many great features including a canopy that opens and closes to show the highly detailed cockpit, pilot figure, rotating propeller and wheels, tiny remote control levers under the wings drop 2 bombs and a small knob on the bottom of the wing that when rotated extends and retracts the main gear and tailwheel; all gear doors including the tailwheel open and close automatically with the gear. Not only do these features sound great, but they work. My built kit over 40 years old and these features still function like new! Molded in clear, silver and black. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Monogram Focke-Wulf FW-190 A-8/R-3 - A-7/R2 - A7/R3 - A-5/U8 - A-8/R1 - A-5/U3 Tropical - Blue Box Issue, 1/48, PA107 6804

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

Sold

1968 Mattel/Monogram release of the impressive 'Four Star' kit from 1965. Please note that this kit has the transitional part number system - first, the original PA number then the new forthcoming four digit number. Very well molded kit can make any of 6 versions listed and also includes decals for all variants. Has optional position canopy and landing gear with a very large variety of under-wing stores and gun options. Paint guide for all variants is included. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Decals are flat and 100% intact but have typical age micro-cracking.

Lindberg Junkers Ju-87B Stuka, 1/48, 524-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

Sold

Late 1950s hardbox issue with Ray Gaedke box artwork. Please note that this is an early issue (probably the first, see below) with the white circle on the rudder hiding the swastika. However, the decals had the swastika, so the factory partially cut them from the sheet. As a historical note, Rau Gaedke painted the original artwork with swastikas, and the decals were made that way also. Lindberg quickly recognized that this was poor publicity and more importantly that the kit could not be sold in Europe. A box with the swastikas has yet to be found, so at this point we assume that the original artwork was modified just before the first issue - and that this is the first issue. The second (and much more common) issue had the white circle painted green like the rudder and the decal sheet was completely redesigned to exclude it also. Molded in correct gloss medium green and clear, with the futuristic Lindberg 'V' shaped clear stand. For it's time, this was an excellent kit with fine panel and rivet detail. Features crew of two and seats, separately molded rudder and flap/ailerons, four small wing load bombs and a center bomb with 'swing arm' so that it would clear the prop in a dive. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Thanks to Dusty Rhodes for this information: The markings with this model, A5+HL, are from a -B2 (Trop.) captured intact in North Africa, 1941 and shipped to the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago. It is still there today (2020). This may very well be the aircraft that Lindberg Skokie-based designers examined as a basis for this model.

Revell Battle of Midway Famous Air Battle Scene #2 - Complete Diorama with F4F Wildcat and Zero, 1/72, H662

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Fair+

Sold

Hard-to-find kit. Of the three Revell 'Famous Air Battle Scenes' this is my favorite because they really went to a great deal of trouble to create a Yorktown-class carrier setting for the diorama. Kit includes all of the full color, heavy cardstock setting including foreground deck gallery, etc. Also includes a 1/72 scale F4F Wildcat with pilot and two ground crew and a Zero with pilot and special 'in flight' display stand. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Please NOTE that the box looks better than 'fair+' but is graded as such because the left short panel has heavy damage. In 1976 Revell released three 'Famous Air Battle Scene' diorama kits featuring WWII aircraft. Kit #1 was H661 'Battle of Berlin', #2 was H662 'Battle of Midway' and #3 was H663 'Battle of Britain'.

ESCI Churchill Mk.IV / Matilda MkII Tank / THREE British 25 Pdr Field Guns / TWO Fiat-Ansaldo 75/18 M13-40 Tanks, 1/72, 8031

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good+

Sold

SALE!! Includes all 7 kits in the boxes shown with decals and instructions. NOTE: Sold AS-IS and not inventoried. This collector was very meticulous and of his kits that I did inventory, 95% are complete. But he cut the sprue (trees) with the part numbers still attached to each number, so the parts are loose. Because of that, I have not inventoried these kits. NOTE: he very neatly built minor to major sub assemblies to "excellent++ to professional" quality. Most are minor, but occasionally there is major assembly. Again, these kits are sold not inventoried and AS IS hence the very low price.
