Plastic Model Kit, Box Condition: Mint
$185
Very rare model in incredible, investment-grade 'Mint' box condition. The original owner very carefully opened the model but left the shrink wrap protecting the box top and four sides. It is in remarkable condition; there is no more wear than it left the assembly line with. Dated 1958 with fantastic Jo Kotula artwork; however the lack of 'Famous Fighters' in the oval boarder logo means that it is closer to the early 1960s. The model inside is molded in a wonderful gloss dark green and clear. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Instructions and decals are 'near mint' with slight yellowing as the only significant flaw.

From the late 1950s. The first aeroplane to fly across the Atlantic in formation! The S-55 was a unique aircraft with the passenger compartments in the floats and the cockpit in the wing; the two engines are mounted in tandem push/pull above the cockpit. The S-55 proved to be very reliable and airworthy, setting 14 world records for speed, altitude and distance with a payload. Three months before Lindbergh's solo Atlantic flight, the S-55 flew with stops from Italy to Rio and NY City. In 1933 Marshal Balbo led 25 S-55s to Chicago in about 48 hours. He then flew back without incident. Never started. The clear parts are still in the factory sealed bag; the parts that were never factory sealed have been inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

From about 1991. A super high performance fun fly airplane that turns into an addiction after a few flights. The unconventional "V" tail make this airplane do things a straight tail never dreamed of. The Yankee Twister combines radical performance with some very conventional construction methods. Most of the assembly is of balsa, hard and ply woods. Some composite materials are utilized but hold no surprises and require no special tools or adhesives to make them work. Features factory cut ribs and numerous other factory cut balsa and plywood parts, fully formed wire landing gear and much more. With plans and a text instructions booklet. Never started. Inside, the kit is exactly as it left the factory. The small parts are still in the factory sealed bag; the larger parts were never factory sealed and some are still held together with the original rubber bands. Inventoried complete. Includes all paperwork. NOTE: this kit came in a very sturdy and thick cardboard box. It will ship in that box wrapped in thick brown paper. If you wish for it to be placed inside another box, let me know in the 'comments' section of checkout but be aware that additional shipping charges will apply and an invoice will emailed to you for that.
