$36

Still factory sealed. From 1977 with John Steel box art. An excellent kit with simplified assembly. Molded in black, wood tan and the sails in ivory vacuform plastic.

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Exc

$24

Still in the factory sealed bag and includes the color print. This is the YMB Club issue of the Monogram 1979 reissue from Aurora molds. When Monogram bought the Aurora molds in the mid 1970s, they reissued the kits that were the most accurate. Since Aurora had reworked the molds on the SE5 and greatly improved the kit, it was one that was chosen. Builds a very nice model.

Monogram Boeing 747 Jumbo Jet - Pan Am Airlines (ex-Aurora Modified Molds), 1/156, 5412

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

$49

1978 issue after Monogram bought Aurora's molds. Monogram only reissued the best and most commercially viable models. The Jumbo fell into that category but only after Monogram highly modified it for accuracy. The result is one of the better early 747-100 kits kit in (very near) 1/144 scale. First, Monogram did a massive fix on the fuselage where the wing mates to it. This may have resulted in a completely new mold for the fuselage! They made the fuselage smooth - no windows. Next were added very, very fine raised panel lines to all surfaces, some recessed panel lines (like leading edge slats) and also added flap hinge covers (fairings) to the lower wings. Contains greatly improved, full, excellent Pan Am and window decals. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Monogram Dornier Do-17 - Blue Box Issue, 1/72, 6842

Monogram Phantom Mustang F-51D (P-51) See-Thru Working Model, 1/32, PA67-498

First issue of this all-time classic. Hardbox is dated 1961 and in unusually good condition with no split corners, very good color and gloss, no tape or price tags, no marks from tape or tags and no litho tears. Flaws include general wear and creases as shown as well as sun fading to the end panels and slight bit at the lower left top. Widely considered to be one of the best visible airplane action kits ever made. Features a full cut away model with interior detail. Buttons on the base activate two motors that make the prop spin, and the main gear and tail wheel retract and extend. Two other levers on the base drop the wing bombs. Inside, this kit is as it left the factory. All of the special presentation cardboard is as new and the two motors are still sealed. Molded in the correct first edition shades of clear, red, black, silver and zinc chromate green. It has never been started and is inventoried complete with all parts present. Instructions and decals are correct for the first issue and feature the 'Horse' stand decal. NOTE: decals are intact but have visible age cracking. Please read the two articles (on this website) about saving and restoring old decals. Insurance is required with this kit.

Monogram The Red Knight of Vienna - (ex-Aurora), 1/8, 85-6522

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc+

$38

Ideal builder kit. 2010 reissue from the original 1963 Aurora molds. This kit is the same scale as the other Aurora Knights. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions. In the mid 1950s, Aurora bought three 'Knight' molds from Crown Plastics and issued them as K1, K2 and K3. These were the very first Aurora figure kits and they sported the 1956-only rectangular 'Northern Lights' logo with the correct 'Crown Line' logo inside it. The sales success of the Knight prompted Aurora to launch an entire line of figure kits. The knights themselves stayed in production long after many other figures were discontinued. When Aurora went out of business in 1976, they sold the molds to Monogram. However, Monogram did not release the Knights until well after Revell and Monogram merged.

Monogram Phantom Huey UH-1B Chopper Motorized with Sound, 1/24, PA226

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

$850

Rare. Dated 1969. Large and completely transparent with a 20 inch long fuselage and nearly 2 foot rotor diameter. Well detailed with 184 parts and full internal detail. Features complete cockpit, pilot and co-pilot figures, full cabin, opening cabin door, inner fuselage framing, detailed engine and more. The electric motor (in the display base with the batteries) turns main and tail rotors. Sound unit makes "chop-chop" sound that varies correctly with main rotor speed. To minimize painting, the kit is molded in clear, zinc chromate green, black, chrome plate, gray, olive drab and flexible black (ammo belts). The clear fuselage halves have no breaks or cracks, they are mint. The motor, battery contacts and hardware are still in the factory sealed bag. The other parts were never in sealed bags and have been inventoried complete, including decals and instructions. Please NOTE that the original decals have some damage and bug damaged; so I have included Ed Bisconti's superb reproduction decals that include three sheets; one clear, one white background and one with additional markings. These boxes were thin, fragile and easily damaged. This one is no exception. It does have the typical wear as shown, a small hole below 'Sound!' and several closed splits have been correctly and neatly repaired from the inside. NOTE: this kit must be shipped insured.
