Rare 1/50 scale Babs from ex-Marusan molds. Very nicely detailed kit for that time with full cockpit, pilot and navigator figures, complete clear side window set, operating elevator, rudder ailerons and wing flap, rotating wheels and prop and removable cowl to show well-molded engine. Has very colorful civil 'Kamikaze' decals. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. UPC stood for Universal Powermaster Corporation which was based out of New York City, NY. UPC did not cut their own molds, but bought kits already molded from other manufacturers and re-boxed the kits in the USA. Scott Eidson, the famous artist best known for his artwork with Revell, also did UPC box art in the 1960s. All UPC production ended in the 1970s.

Jim Walker Pursuit Ready-To-Fly Airplane, 89-1

Very rare in this condition. Jim Walker produced a line of ready-to-fly balsa aircraft in the 1940s and early 1950s and the Pursuit was one of the flagships. The bigger brother of the Hornet had a bigger wingspan, could hold a great deal more rubber (and with extra), had a better endurance, instructions for using a winder up to 400 turns and had a more ornate factory paint job. This example has always been in collector hands. The box has great colors and both lids and all four flaps are present and complete. I have given it an internal cardboard 'sleeve' for proper support - these boxes were very weak and this is necessary to keep it as nice as it is and protect it in shipping. Inside, it is factory new with all parts in great condition. Even the color printing on the wood is as new. It has never been built and has been inventoried complete. The instructions are on the box side. Very few of these survived; they were inexpensive, disposable items that were great fun to fly.

Second logo issue kit from the late 1950s. Includes rare civil decals and paint scheme information for G-AMYV Silver City Airliner and military C-47. This kit is nicely detailed and molded for it's time. The gear retracts and extends, the elevator, rudder and ailerons move, props and wheels rotate, the rear and front doors can be positioned opened or closed, and there is an interior bulkhead and floor at the rear of the fuselage. Includes paratrooper, airline steward figure and two pilots. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Silver City was a independent British Airline that operated up to 15 DC-3s and was well known for it's Air Ferry Service with the Bristol Superfreighter (which Airfix also made a kit of).
