Unusual 1973 issue and a nice model of the Navy B-24. Has many action features: landing gear retracts and extends, control surfaces move, guns elevate and turrets rotate, wheels and props spin, flaps extend/retract, 4 crew and has optional position side gunner's position (open or closed). The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: four parts are a different color of plastic; they are from an earlier issue of the same kit. The box displays better than the 'good' grade but has clear tape all along the lower ends.

Rare, large-scale solid wood display model from about 1943/44. NOTE: box is heavily damaged but the kit parts are as new. Builder kit only, not collectible. Has a 13.5 inch wingspan when built. Features factory 3-D cut fuselage (not just profile cut), profile-cut nacelles, inboard and outboard wings and stabilizers, quality print wood, a paper envelope of small detail parts, full color decals and excellent plans with templates and instructions. Never started and complete . NOTE: the decal sheet is present but the decals are 99% but eaten. The plans have bug damage to one panel but are still perfectly useful for assembly.

During the war, like most manufacturers, Guillow's was forced to alternative materials such as cardboard and pine. Guillow's survived the post WWII slump by creating many inexpensive profile flying rubber powered aircraft and gliders in the 1950s (along with North Pacific) which became famous - some are still available today. Has excellent detail and measures 30.5 inches long when assembled. The kit features the modifications from that time including four Phalanx CISW mounts, eight Tomahawk cruise missile armored box launchers, four quad-box launchers for 16 Harpoon missiles, two SH-60B Seahawk helicopters with large landing pad, reduced number of secondary 5 inch turrets (to six), elimination of all 20mm and 40mm AA guns and more. Kit features a single-piece, full hull with full rudder and prop detail.

Retails for $89.95. Very highly detailed kit that is historically accurate and perfectly scaled. Features cleanly cast Britannia metal components, laser-cut ply and basswood platform and chassis, spoked wooden wheels with machined metal hubs and excellent instructions. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The few larger parts that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions. The carnage of the Civil War made transporting the wounded from the battle grounds a matter of life or death. The ambulance wagon designed by Brigadier General D.H. Rucker proved to be the most valuable innovation. Used during the later half of the war, it was able to carry patients in seated or prone positions. The ambulance body rested on platform springs designed to reduce both for and aft and side to side jostling. The suspension also included a horizontal draught spring under the fifth wheel to reduce the sudden lurch of the wagon when the team started to pull it.
