Hard-to-find 1/72 version of the gun tailed B-66. This is the USAF version of the very large Navy Skywarrior A-3 or "Whale" as the carrier crews and flight crews called it due to it's large size for a carrier aircraft. Features all recessed panel lines, detailed gear wells, cockpit detail and optional position landing gear. Includes decals for 42nd TRS, 10 TRW England 1960 and 19th TRS, 66th TRW England 1958. NOTE: this kit has minor, 'professional' quality subassembly as follows: consoles and instrument panels to the floor; wing halves assembled; one seat assembled; engine intake fans glued to engine half. There is no other assembly. Inventoried with all parts present and includes decals and instructions.

1954 Pre-S issue that features the fantastic box art that made these kits so famous and collectible. The box is in 'Excellent+' condition with factory-new color and gloss, four solid corners, no repairs, no tape marks other than the factory sealing tape, no fading, no rips, tears, stains or missing litho. The flaws are a price tag still on the left side panel and very light general shelf wear as shown. All parts molded in gloss dark blue and clear, and it includes the famous Revell clear "Swivel Base Revelving Stand." Never started. Inside, the kit is like it left the factory. The small parts are still factory sealed in the small clear bag, while the ones that were never sealed have been inventoried complete. The decals and instructions are both in 'excellent' condition with the typical age yellowing as the main flaw. This kit has an interesting history. The first issue was in a simple and very thin one-piece box. Revell quickly learned that it was too fragile and converted to the two-piece box as it was much more durable. Furthermore, a much more attractive and attention-getting full-color lithographed 'slick' could be used. In addition to the box change for the second issue, Revell added rivet and very fine raised panel line detail as well as landing gear and the famous clear Revell 'Globe' stand. The second issue had the single-piece clear stand arm and instructions showing it. This arm proved to be very weak and prone to break at the worst point - when young Johnny was done and ready to proudly display his work. For the third issue (this kit), Revell changed to the much more durable two piece stand arm with instructions reflecting that, but everything else remained the same.

Includes four airmen. Molded in dark blue and clear. NOTE: this kit has very minor assembly as follows: four small clear windows assembled to fuselage halves. Quality of work is 'very good++.' There is no other assembly. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Please note that one part (the machine gun) is a lighter shade of blue; it is from the 1970s issue of this same kit.

1969 hardbox issue of this rare kit. The P-40 and several other aircraft were originally designed for a gas motor U-Control, but Aurora decided to discontinue gas powered models after a short release time because of service issues and return volume. In order to further utilize the expensive molds, Aurora released the entire line as static 'Giant Size Models' with screwdriver assembly - known today as 'Aurora Screwdriver Kits.' This is that version. Very large kit molded in olive drab, black, light gray and clear with metal hardware. The kit has never been started. The light gray and metal parts are in the factory sealed bag. The olive drab and black parts were not sealed and have been inventoried complete. With an amazing 'near mint' decal and instructions sheets. Includes the famous Aurora screwdriver that was only included with these early issues. Please NOTE that the box displays better than the 'very good+' grade but it is graded as such because the right short side panel is only 'good-' condition.

Rare first issue from 1955 or very early 1956. This is the narrow box with the first Lindberg logo ('Round Script') on the top and sides, as well as great Ray Gaedke art. Large scale kit that is molded in a stunning metallic gloss dark glue and clear. The decals and instructions also have the correct round logo on them.
