Guano Aeroplane 1/72 Ikarus IK-2 plastic model kit

1/72 Guano Aeroplane Ikarus IK-2

Resin Model Kit

Rare. The IK-2 is the father of the fantastic IK-3. Both are of Yugoslav design and manufacture. IK2 and 3 saw service in WWII; IK-2s attacked German columns and IK-3s defended Beograd from the air. IK-2 was a superior design in that day. In mock dogfights in 1936, it out performed the Hawker Fury in a respects. The aircraft was all metal and heavily armed with two 20 mm cannon and two 7.92 mm machine guns. The kit features main airframe parts cast in high-definition resin with very fine panel detail, resin horizontal stabilizers and radiator, injection molded wheels pants, wheel hubs, tires and prop, resin pilot bust, clear vac windshield and many pages of instructions and drawings. Never started and inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and paperwork. Guano kits were designed and molded by Wesley Moore in Renton, Washington. From what I can tell, most if not all were marketed directly through him. This kit was sent directly from his home in a eraser box to the customer.
