Very rare scale model and the largest 247 kit ever made. Huge stick and tissue kit designed for free flight but can be converted to electric drive remote control. Wingspan is 55 and 5/8 inches and length is 38 and 5/8 inches. Dates from 1933, '34 or '35 because of the NRA (National Recovery Administration) ink stamp on the bottom of the box. Cleveland had a reputation for making the finest and most accurate scale models in the 1930s and this kit is no exception. Features fully turned engine speed rings, prop bushings with brass bearing inserts, fibre props with completely cut wooden hubs, fully formed main wheels with brass bushings, high quality strip wood, numerous sheets of printwood, clear window material, two colors of covering material, 5 plates of full size plans and assembly instructions (on 2 sheets of paper) and more. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes all plans and instructions.
