Still factory sealed. On April 9, 1935, this magnificent custom built automobile was delivered to Rudolph Carracciola, the Mercedes-Benz Grand Prix team driver. Rudy, with an impressive win record of 23 wins and 23 second places, had chosen this vehicle for his own personal transportation. Powered by the supercharged 5 liter engine, the large and heavy vehicle was an excellent performer and one of the finest cars of the 1930s. This is a well detailed kit with over 150 parts which builds up a rolling chassis just like the real car. Features steerable wheels, removable boot, highly detailed engine and full chassis, double spare tires, detailed interior, opening hood and chrome spoked wheels. The model is usually molded in deep burgundy, black, clear and a large tree of chrome-plated parts.

Second issue from 1957. The original issue Jim Cox box artwork was retained and you can clearly see where the 1956 Northern Lights rectangular logo was positioned and is replaced by the yellow rectangle with the new Sunburst Famous Fighters logo. Earlier in the 1950s a company called 'Helicopters for Industry' created a line of large, early kits. In 1956 Aurora bought the molds and quickly reissued these models with new box artwork. Large kit features cockpit with instrument panel, control sticks and seats, spinning rotors and 'Army Mule' decals. Molded in the correct gloss olive drab and clear plastic. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Rare. Original one-and-only issue dated 1958. The box is in 'Excellent' condition. It has like-new color and gloss, four solid corners, no creases, stains or tears, and no price tags or tape (other than the factory sealing tape, of course). The flaws are edge and corner wear and light general wear. The model features a loading crane elevates and swivels 360 degrees & fully rigged with blocks and tackle, accurate simulation of the entire load-to-launching process with the trailer, truck, crane and launch pad, crew of 4, textured concrete base, missile launch pad, removable missile and more. Molded in correct white and olive drab. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. The decals are perfectly flat, intact and grade in remarkable 'near mint' condition with light age yellowing as the only flaw. The instructions are in 'excellent' condition with slight age yellowing.

From the very early 1960s issue with Ray Gaedke artwork and the 39 cent price extension on the kit number. This small-scale model has a wingspan of very close to 5 inches, which would make it approximately 1/95 scale. The original molds were cut by Trim Model Products in the early to mid 1950s. Trim sold them in bags or in hardboxes, but eventually decided to leave the plastic model business and sold the molds to Lindberg in the early 1960s. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.

1960s issue from quality Marusan molds. Features full landing gear and clear canopy. When the nose probe is pulled, the canopy opens. Never started and the parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. UPC stood for Universal Powermaster Corporation which was based out of New York City, NY. UPC did not cut their own molds, but bought kits already molded from other manufacturers and re-boxed the kits in the USA. Scott Eidson, the famous artist best known for his artwork with Revell, also did UPC box art in the 1960s. All UPC production ended in the 1970s.

Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. In some cases, the specific car and owner is on the box. The model includes brilliant blue injection molded parts, clear parts, detailed chassis, complete engine, removable hood and full interior. 1960 issue from quality Frog molds. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Box art is by the famous Jo Kotula who did 1930s covers for the magazine 'Model Airplane News' and later the Aurora box art of the late 1950s. Air Lines kits are all Frog molds that the Lines Brothers imported to the USA between 1964-1966. The kits, decals and instructions were made in England, then imported to the USA where Testors created the boxes with the colorful trading cards on the back. There are one or two trading cards on each box which show the boxart but not the advertising/logo. Some kits contain a Testors color painting guide also, but it is not specific to any model.
