One piece box issue dated 1965 and with great artworki by Brian Knight. This is one of an incredibly popular series of WWII single-engine aircraft that Revell introduced in the 1960s. Most had frameable artwork. The series was so successful that Revell added kits all through that decade. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Includes the correct early rectangular clear base Aurora stand, the correct instructions showing this base, and the correct early Tatem decals which Aurora issued without a stand decal. (Aurora issued stand decals with kits with the introduction of the triangular 'world' base style clear stand. The kit has never been started. Excellent, large scale model measures 23.75 inches long when assembled. Includes precarved wood hull, extensive balsa wood printed part sheets, hardwood masts & stock, tapered hardwood yards, standing and running rigging material, hardwood base and pedestals, colorful decal sheet, name plate, extensive metal detail castings (lifeboats, ladders, anchors, skylight, capstan, pump wheels, pump, wheel, bitts, windlass, etc), full sized plans, rigging instructions, superb full size plans with numerous drawings & detailed text instructions and more. The kit has never been started. All of the metal fittings are still in the factory sealed bags. The parts that were never factory sealed have been inventoried complete along with the decal sheet and instructions/large plans all in 'very good' condition. Please note that this the early issue and Scientific did not furnish sails or sail running rigging instructions with it. Scientific Model Airplane Company was founded by John D. Frisoli of Newark, N.J. He started the business in a 12 foot square store in the 1940s. By 1952 John had sales of plane, boat & race car kits and accessories totaling about $200,000 annually.

Very rare factory display model of the 1970s DARPA SIAM project, which was short for Self-Initiated Anti-Aircraft Missile. The idea was to develop a completely autonomous air-defense missile. One of the most obvious purposes was for use onboard submarines. The submarine can hear the aircraft or helicopter as it approached since the sound propagates through the water. The submarine could then launch a SIAM buoy to the surface, where the missile would automatically detect and attack any incoming aircraft. It was also theorized that SIAM could be launched vertically from the submarine itself. SIAM was tested in the early 1980s and was generally successful. DARPA handed SIAM over to the Navy, where it was deactivated due to funding. This factory model is complete with the original stand. The wooden base has a metal disk showing a submarine launching a SIAM, which is shown executing the 'dual homing' functions. The missile is just over 7 inches long. The base and metal badge are 'near mint' condition. The missile is excellent, with all original paint and decals. There is some minor wear on some of the port-side gold decals.

The box is only graded 'fair++' because a closed 3" split shown at the bottom of the box in the photo and from that an additional 2" closed tear down the long lower side.

Rare kit in excellent condition inside and out. The box is solid with four great corners, no tape or tags and general wear as shown. Very well detailed and features a Slant 6 engine, full custom interior, detailed suspension and exhaust, optional parts to make the stock cab or topless model, full streamlined camper clear bed cover or flat cover and more. Molded in white, clear, red-tint clear and with two chrome trees and rubber tires. Inside, the kit has never been started and has been inventoried complete with all parts, regular decal sheet, woodgrain decal sheet and instructions. NOTE: the regular decal sheet has bug damage mainly on the backing paper. Only the edges of two decals have slight bug damage; the rest are free of damage.

Hard-to-find original issue from the early 1960s; not the common modern reissue. Features an unopened metal tube of 'Plastic Body Filler Putty', sandpaper, special upholstery material, stock or supercharged engine, detailed engine bay, opening hood, full interior, numerous custom parts, wild custom front and rear end treatments, accessories and custom decals. The kit has never been started. Inventoried with body putty, upholstery material, sandpaper & all plastic parts present and with photocopied (newer) instructions but NOTE: missing decals and original instructions. The photocopied instructions included are very high quality and from a new issue from the exact same molds, so they work perfectly for assembly. There are tire burns as follows: battery (serious, all detail on the top of the battery is gone), custom front end extension (light burn, easily fixed), inner wheel & intake manifold (small on both) and a very light one on (1) custom tail light 'cone' lens. The box is only 'fair' and not collectible due to bug damage to the litho.

An earlier version with the exact same box art has a part number of 331P; this may be among the earliest appearances of the 'F' Frog part numbers.

1960s Pyro issue from original molds. The model includes beautiful green injection molded parts including wire wheels (not solid wheels), clear parts, detailed chassis and complete interior. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many of it's kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. In some cases, the specific car and owner is on the box.
