First issue from 1956 with the one-year-only Northern Lights rectangular logo. The box gloss and color and factory new and very light wear is the only flaw. It showcases the famous artwork by Jim Cox; this original art lasted longer than any other at Aurora, only being replaced in the early 1970s when the molds were revised. Molded in the correct high-gloss dark green and black plastic. Decals are in rare 'excellent' condition and the instructions are 'near mint++.' Never started and inventoried 100% complete with all parts decals and instructions present.

Excellent detail and includes rigging instructions. Kit also features figures of Orville and Wilbur Wright, monorail launching track and carrier dolly and historical accessories-"C" clamp, bench, can, spade and starting battery that were all present at the first flight.

Huma Model Messerschmit Me P1101 V1 (P-1101) - Bagged, 1/72

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Mint

$20

The P1101 was the first aircraft to have variable geometry wings. As part of the Emergency Fighter Program, the Messerschmitt was a promising design but was only about 80% done when the war ended. This model is interesting in that it models the V1 Prototype exactly as it was found or as a production aircraft. This means you can show the detailed jet engine without the cowling or install the cowl. V1 decal sheet even includes the painted on machine gun/cannon. Never started and the parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

Monogram B-25 Mitchell Big Cannon Plane - Four Star Issue, 1/70, PA7-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$75

2nd issue, identified by the 'PA' price prefix instead of just a 'P'. This kit features rotating wheels and propellers, side gun packs and cannon/machine gun nose, crew members, underwing rockets and boarding ladder. Never started. It has been inventoried and NOTE: missing (1) propeller shaft. Easily made because it does not show when the kit is assembled. Otherwise complete with all other parts and includes decals and instructions, both in 'excellent+' condition.

Hawk Republic F-84F Thunderstreak, 1/72, 606-50

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc++

$34

Early 1960s release with classic box art by Bill Campbell. If you look closely, Bill painted one of Hawk's founders, Richard (Dick) Mates in the cockpit of the nearest fighter. This is a very nicely molded model with excellent fit and all recessed panel lines. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Thanks to Jean-Claude who told me that the boxart shows a standard F-84F but in reality the model inside is of prototype YF-96A, (aka YF-84F), s/n 49-2430. this aircraft was later modified to become the YRF-84F parasite fighter in combination with GRB-36F.It is on display at the USAF Museum, Wright Patterson AFB, Ohio.
